Sight & Sound Theatres in Branson, Missouri, is a premier faith-based live theater that brings epic Bible stories to life through immersive, Broadway-caliber musical productions. Opened in 2008 in the stunning Ozark Mountains, the venue features a state-of-the-art, 2,000-seat auditorium with a massive 300-foot panoramic stage that wraps around the audience on three sides for an enveloping experience. Productions blend original scores, live orchestras, exceptional acting and choreography, intricate sets, dazzling lighting, special effects, and even live animals to create vivid retellings of scriptures. Currently playing through 2025 is David, chronicling the shepherd boy’s rise to king with themes of courage, faith, and redemption—featuring hits like the Goliath showdown and Psalm composition. Past and rotating shows have included Noah, Samson, Queen Esther, Jonah, and Jesus. Each 2-hour performance (including intermission) is family-friendly, uplifting, and educational, drawing over a million global visitors annually to its Lancaster, PA, and Branson locations. Founded in 1976 by dairy farmers Glenn and Shirley Eshelman in Pennsylvania, the theater emphasizes meaningful messages amid spectacle, leaving audiences inspired and entertained.
Branson hosts over 100 live productions, but Sight & Sound Theatres consistently ranks in the top 10 (frequently top 5) due to its unparalleled production quality, spiritual depth, and broad appeal—earning acclaim as “Christian Broadway” and one of the world’s premiere theatrical venues.
